Persepolis FC will hold Hazfi Cup final game against Sepahan at Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran. Yahya Golmohammadi, the head coach of Persepolis, says the upcoming final is one of the most important matches in his coaching career. He had promised to claim the title of Hazfi Cup.

“We care about all games. Even the friendly matches are deemed as important as official games. We try to do our best in all the matches in order to prepare players for Iran’s Hazfi Cup final game. So I personally urge the players to concentrate only on football and avoid involving in any other cases.” Yahya Golmohammadi told a press-conference on Friday.

Mahdavikia, one of the best football players in Iran’s history and the current member of Persepolis, will retire at the end of this season. He will bid farewell to football in the game against Sepahan FC. However, two clubs have agreed to play for 3 minutes before starting the real match in honor of Mahdavikia. Analysts believe Mehdi must play in the real final game too. “Persepolis FC has made the best decision for Mehdi Mahdavikia regarding his last match.” Yahya Golmohammadi said.

Rumors suggest that Persepolis FC is in the middle of negotiations with IPL top players. “These are baseless reports that always come out at the end of each season. People should read and forget them because we are not currently thinking about the next season.” Golmohammadi concluded.
