Vahid Hashemian Declares Support for Yahya Golmohammadi

Three days ago, Yahya Golmohammadi announced his resignation from Persepolis top-job. Mohammad Royanian, the President of Persepolis, accepted Golmohammadi’s resignation immediately. This has made local analysts to criticize Royanian for his decision. Accordingly, Yahya Golmohammadi joined Persepolis in second half of 2012-13 season, but he managed to help Persepolis reach Hazfi Cup final.

Vahid Hashemian, the former player of Iran national football team, declared support for Golmohammadi on Sunday. “Base on statistics, Yahya performed very well during his presence in Persepolis. I believe that he can help Persepolis to achieve more goals in next seasons, if team officials re-elect him as the head coach.”

“In fact, Sepahan managed to defeat Persepolis in penalty shootout. This has nothing to do with the technical abilities of Yahya Golmohammadi. He had minimal role in this loss, and president of the team must blame himself for wrong decisions.” Vahid Hashemian added.

From 2010 to 2012, Hashemian played for Persepolis. “Currently, Persepolis players are not ready to give their best to club. I think the team may need to add a professional psychologist to technical cadre in order to help players recovering from these conditions.”

Iran’s local football managers have recently criticized Carlos Manuel Brito Leal Queiroz for his poor performance with Team Melli. “Queiroz is one of the most professional and famous head coaches who have come to Iran in recent decades. I don’t understand why Iranian coaches are constantly criticizing Queiroz. But the Football Federation of Islamic Republic should support Queiroz at this moment. Team Melli needs more attention from local media too.” Hashemian concluded.
