Kianoush Rahmati, defensive midfielder of Esteghlal FC, had a pivotal role in the Tehran based club in last season, when Parviz Mazloumi was on charge of Blues. During the first weeks of the new season he picked up a severe injury and lost the first half of 2012-13 season of Iran Pro League. Now he has been recovered from injury but he couldn’t find a place in main squad of the team.
“Choosing a player for starting lineup is completely up to the head coach and his technical cadre. But like other players I’m willing to play for team rather than sitting on bench. I’m very sad about this but I have never objected to Amir Ghalenoei.” Kianoush Rahmati, the former player of Saipa and Pas said.
“As a matter of fact I don’t like to talk with coaches on this subject but if I feel it is necessary, I will go and discuss the issue with them in amicable way. Players must show their abilities on pitch and I’m trying to capture the attention of coaches on training sessions.” Kianoush Rahmati added.
Javad Nekounam and Jlloyd Samuel are the first options of Ghalenoei for this post. Nekounam used to play in La Liga for several years and Samuel was a member of British clubs. Rahmati says this had made his job harder. “This is one of the main reasons that Ghalenoei prefers to not select me. But I’m waiting to show my skills in right time for club.”
