Mehdi Kiani, the current midfielder of Tractor Sazi Tabriz, says his side is ready to take part in AFC Champions league and the fans of the club are counting down the days to compete in ACL.

Tractor Sazi Tabriz had an acceptable performance in this season. They have tallied 35 points from 20 matches and currently the club is placed second, 3 points behind giant Esteghlal FC. “In fact we could be the leading club in Iran Pro League. We lost the scores of two matches. The current position is the outcome of all efforts put by players, coaches and managers. Tractor has fantastic fans too which is a great advantage for our team. We will keep working hard to garner more points from the next matches to make our fans happier.” Mehdi Kiani, 26, said.

For the first time in its history, Tractor Sazi will be one of the representatives of Islamic Republic of Iran in AFC Champions League tournament. “ACL is a great opportunity for Tractor to show off its potentials and capacities. Fans and players are counting down the time to start ACL. The people of Tabriz city are more than happy to host this important competition in their city.” Kiani added.

During the recent months, Tractor Sazi had been dealing with financial problems like the other state run clubs in Iran. Kiani said the players don’t pay attention to these problems but urged the managers to solve the financial issues as soon as possible. Mehdi Kiani is a popular player in Tabriz.
