Kamran Bagheri Lankarani, Iranian politician and the former Minister of Health and Medical Education, believes that Iranian government must forget any possible ties between Islamic Republic and the United States. He says such motives are against the goals and ambitions of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
Addressing a group of students at Tehran University, he said: “Unfortunately, many analysts inside and outside of Iran believe that the only solution for Iran’s current crisis is establishing positive and constructive ties with the government of the United States. Even some candidates of Iran’s 2013 presidential election have similar views.”
“I think these groups of people are completely wrong. We should not forget the hostile policies of the United States government toward Iranian nation in last 80 years. In many cases, Americans have tried to exploit our country, but they have failed to do. Now, we are blindly helping them to achieve their nasty goals.” Kamran Bagheri Lankarani added.
“It’s good to know that the current management of the United States has also failed to apply correct policies in numerous cases. I believe that Iran can find its rout of success without establishing ties with Western countries, especially the United States.” Bagheri Lankarani concluded.
In recent months, Bagheri Lankarani has declared its interest in running for Iranian presidential election. During Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s government, he served as Minister of Health and Medical Education.
