Barack Obama administration has ratified a new round of economical and financial sanctions against Islamic Republic of Iran which tighten and target its transactions with other countries. The government of United States is going to persuade to stop its nuclear activities while Iranian government says it will never halt its programs in any circumstances.
Mohammad-Hassan Asfari, member of the Majlis Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, says the United States is going to implement Oil-for-Food Programme against the Islamic Republic. The Oil-for-Food Programme (OFF) was established with the stated intent to allow Iraq to sell oil on the world market in exchange for food, medicine, and other humanitarian needs for ordinary Iraqi citizens without allowing Iraq to boost its military capabilities.
“United States is going to aggravate its sanctions against Iranians. Their main goal is forcing people to not take part in the upcoming presidential election while Iranian people will support Islamic Republic in 2013 election. Western countries believe Iran is threatening their interests in the Middle East region and this is the reason of their brutal behavior against Iran.” Mohammad-Hassan Asfari said.
“I urge Ban Ki-moon to take actions against sanctions set by the United States against Iran. Western governments want to implement Oil-for-Food Programme against Iran and increase their pressures on Islamic Republic system.” Iran’s MP, Asfari, concluded.
