Iran is only supporter of the current Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad in the Middle East region. Islamic Republic had tried to do all it could to prevent Muslim countries from removing Syria from Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Hamidreza Dehghani, Iranian Ambassador and OIC permanent Representative says Iran will discuss topics related to Syria in the upcoming summit scheduled to be held in Cairo.
“Egypt will host this summit which is very important for this country. The system of Egypt has been changed significantly and now Islamic groups have token over charge of Egypt. The country is located near Gaza strip and Palestine lands and relations between Iran and Egypt were cut for more than 30 years.” Iranian representative in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) told Pars Herald.
“We are observing an exceptional condition in region. Oppositions from countries in Middle East are trying to topple rulers and this can define a new era for Muslim lands and people. Now no one can predict the future outcomes of these tensions.” Hamidreza Dehghani added.
He also pointed to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s trip to Egypt. “This happens for the first time in last 30 years. Islamic Republic aims to uproot the previous issues and problems with Egypt and we are looking to build a new relationship with this Muslim country. This allows us to communicate with the officials of Egyptian government and we can discuss bilateral topics.”
According to his comments, Iran along side with Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are going to discuss Syrian topics to reach agreements in helping both government and people of the war-torn country.
