Esmaeil Sharifat: I’m Glad that Afshin Decided to Stay in Foolad

Esmaeil Sharifat, the winger of Foolad FC, expressed his happiness about the status of Arash Afshin in Foolad. Base on reports, Lille OSC was interested in the services of Afshin and invited the player to take part in training sessions of the French based club. Apparently Arash Afshin and Lille couldn’t reach an agreement and Afshin decided to stay in his current club.

“I’m happy to see him here again. He contributes a lot to our club and we need his services for the upcoming matches. He had a superb affects on your squad during the season and his recent decision can make the club even stronger than before.” said Esmaeil Sharifat, the former striker of Esteghlal FC.

Sharifat plays for Foolad FC which is placed in second position of Iran Pro League’s table, four points behind the Tehran based club, Esteghlal. “Actually we were deserved to sit in this position. We worked hard and we have enough capabilities to claim the title, however, it is not our goal right now.” Esmaeil Sharifat remarked.

“Foolad FC has valuable young and energetic players. Mr Faraki (head coach) has guided us to reach this point and we will do even better in future.” Sharifat concluded.

Esmaeil Sharifat started his youth career in Foolad. He has played 65 matches for his side.
