Arash Borhani, the forward of Esteghlal FC, says his side deserved to win Iran Pro League title. Esteghlal managed to garner 67 points from 33 matches in IPL. This is the second championship of Esteghlal in Iran with Amir Ghalenoei.
“I am really happy. In fact, Esteghlal FC deserved to win this title. We tried hard over the past season to make fans happy of the results. However, we faced with numerous troubles during the season, but we managed to keep our concentration on football rather than spending our time on other problems.” Arash Borhani remarked about Esteghlal championship.
“There is not any Asian coach better than Amir Ghalenoei. Amir loves the club and fans. I believe that he will continue his career in Esteghlal.” Borhani said. Recently, Amir Ghalenoei announced that he will depart Esteghlal in near future.
“Playing for Esteghlal is always my top priority. I will negotiate with team officials with regard to my contract. I am ready to extend my contract, if coaches and officials are interested in my services.” Arash Borhani noted about his status for next season. From 2007, Borhani has appeared in more than 200 games for Blues.
Last week, Iranian legendary football player, Ali Karimi, announced his retirement from professional football. “Karimi is one of the best football players in Iran. I believe that he is not happy with certain incidents. So, he has made this decision to wipe out the next possible problems. But I hope he changes his mind concerning this subject.” Arash Borhani commented on Karimi’s farewell to football.
