Arash Borhani, the attacker of Esteghlal FC, announced on Sunday that he has received offer from a China-based football club. Borhani didn’t reveal the name of the club, but he said the preparatory negotiations have been done between his agent and the Chinese club.
“I have received a great offer from a Chinese club. Currently, my agent is in the middle of negotiations with this club; however my move to china has yet to be finalized. At this time, I’m only concentrating on the upcoming match against Al-Shabab.” Arash Borhani said after Sunday’s training session.
Esteghlal is set to play against Al-Shabab in the elimination round of AFC Champions League. “I believe that this game is the most difficult match of Esteghlal in AFC Champions League. So, all Esetghlal players must work hard in order to defeat the Emirates-based team.”
“The players have forgotten the celebrations of Iran Pro League championship. We will no longer think about our championship in the domestic league. We need to score as many goals as we can in the first leg.” Arash Borhani concluded.
Borhani has appeared in 37 international games for Iran national football team. He has also scored 10 goals for Team Melli. Arash Borhani is the all-time top goal scorers of Esteghlal and also the second all-time top goal scorers in Iran’s Premier Football League. In 2007, he moved to Esteghlal. Borhani was the top goalscorer of Iran Pro League in 2008–09 with 21 goals.
