Speaker of Iranian Parliament, Ali Larijani, says the future of Middle East belongs to Islamist political parties of the region. Arabs states of Middle East region and North Africa are currently experiencing modern revolutions, known as Arab Spring.

“According to the guidelines of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the future of Middle East only belongs to Islamists and Muslims. Unfortunately, some Arab states are unhappy with this fact, and they try to follow and apply Western policies in region. But their plots against Muslims will be finished in near future.” Ali Larijani addressed a group of Iranian MPs on Wednesday.

In recent months, the officials of Islamic Republic have criticized Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE for following ‘the hostile’ policies of U.S. government against Muslims.

Larijani also went on to say that Western governments will not take advantage of the future of Middle East. “Of course, the American and European countries are feeling massive threats from Islamic countries of the Middle East region. Western governments will lose all their interests in Middle East as soon as Islamists take the power of Arab states.”

Islamic Republic of Iran has previously declared its support for Arab Spring. However, Iran’s Supreme Leader is still supporting Bashar al-Assad in Syria. During the recent years, Iran and Syria have established strategic relationships. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had described Syria as ‘the leader of resistant axis against Zionism’. Iran had also promised to deliver financial and logistic aides to all paramilitary groups which are fighting against the government of Israel.
